Your Role

  • Accurately and efficiently code inpatient episodes to meet internal quotas and support external submissions.

  • Participate in quality activities monthly coding meetings and ongoing professional development.

  • Collaborate with your team to continuously improve coding standards and processes.

  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Classifications for this position will range from Health Information Manager Grade 1- 2 JA3 JB1 ($74172 - $103724 per annum pro rata)

Successful applicants will have opportunity to work remotely or from our department on vibrant Gertrude Street Fitzroy.

Your Contribution

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in Health Information Management or recognised Clinical Coding qualification

  • Minimum of 2 years experience tertiary hospital casemix (desirable)

  • Experience in use of 3M Codefinder software

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Eligibility for full registration with the Health Information Management Association of Australia (desirable)

  • A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check or willing to obtain
