JOB PURPOSE
To perform final inspection and airworthiness determination of aircraft components and articles in accordance with FAA Part 145 regulations. The Final Inspector ensures all maintenance and repair activities meet regulatory customer and company standards and is authorized to sign FAA Form 8130-3 and issue return-to-service certification under the Repairman Certificate.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform final inspection of aircraft components to ensure regulatory and quality compliance
- Verify maintenance documentation test results and Airworthiness Directive (AD) compliance.
- Issue FAA EASA and CAAC return-to-service certifications (e.g. FAA Form 8130-3) under Repairman Certificate authority as applicable.
- Ensure proper documentation part tagging and adherence to FAA Part 145 requirements.
- Support audits inspections and corrective action processes.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: The position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and involves frequent walking and bending. The role may also require occasional squatting lifting carrying pushing or pulling items weighing up to 20 pounds. Tasks involve repetitive hand movements and regular use of a desktop computer. Normal or corrected vision and hearing within the standard range are required to perform all duties safely and effectively.

Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 regulations airworthiness requirements and inspection standards. Ability to read interpret and apply technical manuals work orders and regulatory documents. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities or workloads. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all work performed. Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation recordkeeping and regulatory database verification.
Education/Training: In-depth knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations maintenance procedures and airworthiness standards. Ongoing training to maintain familiarity with Airworthiness Directives technical manuals and regulatory updates
Experience: On-the-job experience in aircraft maintenance repair or inspection is highly desirable.
Certificates/Licenses: Authorization and documented training on company-specific procedures Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and inspection standards. FAA Repairman Certificate (Inspection Authorization) required to sign FAA Form 8130-3 and approve return-to-service for work performed under the MRO.
