Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Communication- The student worker will gain skills and knowledge in communication by working at the job site with Nurturing Hearts staff. Equity and Inclusion: The student worker will work in an environment that engages with people from different local and global cultures. They will support Nurturing Hearts mission. At Nurturing Hearts our mission is to inspire empower and uplift at-risk girls through comprehensive self-esteem leadership and life skills programs. We are dedicated to helping girls aged 818 build confidence discover their true potential and step into their purpose. Our programs are grounded in promoting self-love resilience and positive community engagement. The Youth Facilitator Assistant will play a key role in supporting the lead facilitator in setting up organizing and executing our dynamic programming for at-risk girls in Eries grade middle and high schools. This position involves working directly with students to provide a supportive and inspiring environment ensuring the smooth operation of educational activities and events that foster personal growth and empowerment. The role also includes some clerical tasks to support program operations.

Required Qualifications
Passionate about youth empowerment and committed to Nurturing Hearts mission of supporting girls in their personal development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds. Organized reliable and detail-oriented with an ability to manage clerical tasks effectively. Previous experience working with youth in a classroom or mentorship setting is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively with team members students and school staff. Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and schedules with flexibility in working hours on Thursdays and Fridays. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Must have current clearances or be eligible to obtain them (PA Child Abuse History Criminal Background Check and FBI Fingerprint Clearance).
Preferred Qualifications
Assist in setting up and organizing classrooms for programming and events ensuring materials and resources are ready for activities. Support the lead facilitator in managing class activities and ensuring a positive engaging environment for students. Work directly with students helping them engage with the content and encouraging their participation in activities. Support classroom management and assist with maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere. Assist in organizing student materials ensuring that all resources are available and ready for the days activities. Help with logistical tasks such as organizing field trips transportation and other related duties. Provide assistance during group activities fostering a sense of collaboration and teamwork. Perform clerical tasks such as data entry record-keeping and filing program documents. Serve as a role model for students demonstrating empathy patience and a strong commitment to empowering young girls. Work closely with facilitators to ensure that program goals and objectives are met
