Pre-Employment Drug Testing:
All final applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis to test for illegal drug use prior to appointments. Testing will also be performed for the presence of marijuana. An applicant with a positive test shall not be offered employment unless the applicant submits medical documentation of legally prescribed medications or a recommendation for medical marijuana.
Pre-Employment Background Investigation:
The final applicant selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. An individual assessment of an applicants prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is prohibited from hiring:
Requires considerable knowledge of accounting systems and procedures
Performs duties within the Operations Support Center (OSC) Accounts Payable Section to include but not limited to retrieving back-up documents for processing agency vouchers determining accuracy and validity of invoices received identifying and associating applicable purchase orders and coding related to OSC Adult Parole Authority (APA) and associated regions Corrections Training Academy (CTA) and institutions for appropriated capital and grant funds through OAKS FIN
Research and analyze transaction errors (e.g. coding/supplier ID errors) and correct budget exception errors
Monitors and analyzes outstanding account balances while calculating and processing agency late payments
Works with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and conduct complex reconciliations of past due payables accounts
Research questionable and/or unauthorized payment card transactions
Analyze corrects errors provides all fiscal coding (to include applicable MBE/EDGE) and processes payments for agency payment card purchases in PREP as well as all EDI invoices/payments
Determines accuracy and validity retrieves verification of services/goods and apply fiscal coding to all intra-state vouchers (ISTV)
Monitors supplier threshold balances to ensure compliance with agency direct spend authority Create forms for accounts payables processes/operations
Utilizes OAKS FIN OAKS BI PREP and Ohio Buys* to research payables issues and provide relevant payment information to suppliers
Research review and analyze errors on the Fiscal Shared Services sorter page and provide fiscal information to resolve problem invoices for FSS
Utilizes spreadsheets and databases
Assists with year-end budget forecasting
Prepares information for financial reports daily weekly bi-weekly and monthly
Maintains filing system and its confidentiality.
