Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Plymouth WI
Shift: Monday Wednesday Thursday 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Duration: 8 Weeks
Pay Rate: $20.00$24.00/hour
Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Assistant to provide both front and back-office support in a clinical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong patient care skills proficiency in phlebotomy and the ability to maintain smooth daily operations. This position requires a proactive compassionate professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients in a courteous and professional manner
Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars
Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries promptly
Record and monitor patient vital signs (blood pressure pulse temperature etc.)
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture preparing specimens for laboratory testing
Administer vaccines according to established protocols
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Support clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Adhere to safety infection control and confidentiality standards
Participate in patient education and outreach initiatives
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (externship experience accepted)
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Experience in Occupational Health is a plus
Proficient in phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient with computer systems scheduling tools and data entry
Commitment to quality patient care and professional conduct
Required Skills:
Front and back-office clinical experience
Phlebotomy and venipuncture proficiency
Electrocardiogram (EKG) administration
Point-of-Care (POC) testing
Patient scheduling and rooming
Vital signs monitoring and documentation
BLS or CPR certification
