Rioja is seeking skilled and innovative bartenders/servers to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment that fosters learning and growth. Highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork are encouraged to apply. We are searching for a quick composed and refined individual with excellent communication skills. A professional appearance and demeanor are mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and organization.
  • Contributes to daily holiday and themed drink menus in collaboration with the supervisor.
  • Adheres to proper alcohol handling sanitation and safety procedures. Maintains appropriate dating labeling and rotation of all beverage items.
  • Must have a general understanding of professional kitchen sanitation protocol.
  • Must be willing to learn and adapt to situations and procedural changes as decided by the management
  • Greeting and seating guests
  • Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the POS system
  • Making menu item recommendations
  • Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
  • Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately
  • Guarantee patrons an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive service.
  • Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
  • Performing cleaning duties; keeping a clean service station and polished dining area
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Employment requires at least 2 years of fine dining experience and minimum of 3 professional references
  • Excellent customer service and a friendly demeanor
  • Exceptional organization and time management
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Wine Knowledge a must (wine certification preferred)
  • Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to work full-time with day night and weekend availability.
  • Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
