Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Perform the startup and shutdown procedures for the assigned production line area. Perform changeovers quickly efficiently and safely.
Operate control and monitor machines in the production line area and perform quality checks of the process and product.
Perform basic preventative maintenance duties and report any malfunctions or abnormalities with equipment to the maintenance team.
Accurate reporting of production time material usage and various other paperwork/reports involved in the process.
Complete data entry using excel spreadsheets
Assist with finishing operations as required to maintain workflow.
Maintain cleanliness of the assigned production line area
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Constant use of tape measure hand tools and safety devices.
This is a physically active role which requires lifting and carrying stock up to 50 lbs. Range of motion will include squatting bending standing walking and reaching. 10 hour shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

1 year experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
Machine setup operation and process troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Microsoft products specifically Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Overhead crane experience
Forklift operation experience
Use of HMIs
Understanding of machine setup and tear down.
