Are you passionate about helping others and making a real difference As aMedication Technician youll play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents. You wont just be administering medications youll be a trusted caregiver a health advocate and a comforting presence in their daily lives.
In this rewarding role youll ensure medications and treatments are delivered with accuracy and care support daily health monitoring and provide compassionate hands-on assistance that helps our residents thrive. Primary Responsibilities:
- Passes medications and gives treatments.
- Obtains and records resident vital signs weight food and fluid intake and output.
- Assist with medication refills ordering and inventory management to ensure an adequate supply of medications is available.
- Assists new residents and families in the orientation process.
- Assist with daily health monitoring including taking vital signs administering medications and providing personal care as needed.
- Assists all residents with activities of daily living as needed.
- Assists residents in preparing for activities social programs and transporting.
- Interacts with residents in friendly manner while structuring their day and monitoring their needs.
- Maintains accurate documentation in residents charts and in the Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR).
- Assists with meal service
What Youll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical assisting or a related field preferred.
- 1 year of medication passing experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferably with seniors or in long-term care.
- Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Previous working knowledge of Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems preferred.
