This position pays between $69400 $86750 annually based on experience

*This position is onsite at Benefis - East Campus in Great Falls MT*

The Manager of Health Information Management (HIM) serves as the primary HIM service line leader and acts as the primary support for all HIM related functions (excluding coding and Clinical Documentation Program) including but not limited to the following: represents HIM at administrative functional and medical staff meetings as necessary; manages all paper and electronic records; oversees the physician delinquency process record analysis data integrity physician relations and continuously monitors productivity and quality metrics to meet or exceed standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Specializes in the supervision of HIM service lines; analysis physician record completion operations denials management data integrity or quality/productivity

  • Support for employees and physicians; acts as a resource person to other departments for health information management issues such as record retention customer service confidentiality etc.

  • Develops and monitors implementation of client site departmental goals/objectives and the performance improvement process in conjunction with HIM Leadership; provides the necessary leadership direction and documentation to effectively supervise and motivate people promotes a team approach to problem solving and goal setting in Health Information Management

  • Acts as primary HIM management representative to Site CEO and Site COO as well as other administrative departments; serves on site specific or medical staff sponsored committees as requested

  • Supervises the customer service and physician relations process regarding interaction of physicians other clinicians and patients with the HIM Department

  • Supports and assures compliance of all HIM policies and procedures which incorporate applicable legal ethical and accrediting standards

  • Manages monitors and assures compliance with yearly operating capital and salary budgets; monitors and manages productivity of staff to meet established worked FTE budgeted targets by maintaining quality and quantity standards productivity statistical and status reports to the HIM Operations Director.

Experience We Love:

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in the Health Information Management field

  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills required

  • Exceptional customer service

  • Training experience

  • MS office knowledge

  • Proficiency in electronic health records

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience

Required Certifications: Candidate must have and keep current at least one of the following professional certifications.

  • RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator)

  • RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician)
