The European Space market is dynamic evolving and rapidly growing. CGI is now looking to further expand our business in this area building on our more than 40-year successful heritage. We are therefore seeking an experienced OSS Architect (m/f/d) to design and implement the OSS architecture for the next-generation Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) systems based on multi-orbit satellite constellations.
Design and model OSS architecture for satellite-based networks
Drive the design of the Mission Control Centre (MCC) which orchestrates telemetry ingestion and traffic steering
Define the lifecycle of network resources and supervise dynamic configuration flows between MCC and satellites
Analyze and decompose the higher-level requirements into more detailed ones related to the satellite subsystem
Assess deviations from requirements and evaluate their impact at a higher level to ensure that a critical part of the system and mission objectives are achieved
Review the technical documentation (e.g. design documentation test methods reports) and assess the contents validity
Translate mission requirements into system designs test plans and failure-handling strategies
Collaborate with international teams simulation engineers and stakeholders across domains
Support pre-sales and proposal processes with system design inputs and cost estimates
Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements assesses customers needs and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and CGI
Awareness and evaluation of relevant technological developments industry trends emerging technologies competitive factors customer requirements standardization licensing and regulatory aspects
Masters degree in Telecommunications Electrical Engineering or a related field
10 years of experience in OSS RAN orchestration or 3GPP-compliant network supervision
Deep knowledge of 3GPP and other relevant standards
Solid understanding of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and experience with UML or similar modeling tools
Proven ability to work across functional teams and clearly communicate complex systems
Fluency in German and English both written and spoken
Willingness to work on-site at clients premises and to travel occasionally
