River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Part Time Cashier!

Experience-based pay ranging from: $16.90 - $18.15 per hour

Must be available to work on weekends. Candidates without availability to work on weekends will not be considered.

Reports to: Customer Service Manager

Job Duties:

• Provides prompt friendly courteous customer service accurate cashiering cash handling store security and smooth store operations
• Committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers
• Sanitizes cleans stocks faces and organizes register area when customers are not present

• Excellent communication skills
• A desire to serve customers with kindness and grace.
• Basic arithmetic proficiency including counting addition and subtraction
• Experience with POS systems preferred
• Experience with and knowledge of natural foods preferred
• Repetitive use of hands for grasping pushing pulling and fine manipulation
• Work weekends and evenings on a regular basis

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must be physically able to occasionally grasp grip pull push twist and turn as needed.

Constant (67-100%): Walking standing pushing pulling lifting/reaching waist to shoulder talking hearing correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception

Frequent (34-66%): Bending stooping squatting kneeling lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist

Occasional (1-33%): Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist lifting/reaching above the shoulder

Approximately 5% of the time: Administrative Duties & Sitting
