Description:
26 hrs./week 10-month calendar - Traditional Elementary calendar (Temporary Assignment - for the entire 2025/26 school year)
Work hours are:Monday - Thursday 7:25 am - 2:25 pm (6.5 hrs per day); No Fridays

ECSE classrooms for 3-to-5-year olds are in 13 elementary sites the Cedar Valley Learning Center and Dakota Valley Learning Center

Qualifications:

High School diploma AND two years of college OR Associates degree OR MN passing score on the ParaEducator test.
Effective behavior management and health support skills able to maintain routine in a students day.
Effective communication and teamwork skills for interactions with staff students and parents.
Experience working in a center-based and inclusion setting.
Must be able to perform the essential job functions which may include toileting catheters lifting medication administration gastric tube feedings health tasks to support student pool DAPE ability to work outside.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally ethnically racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Assist in communication with staff parents and students.
Assist teacher/nurse in collection and maintaining data.
Ability to implement intervention strategies developed by licensed staff.
Implement behavior intervention plans.
Implement health plans.
Assist with crisis interventions and discipline.
Have knowledge of effective sensory activities.
Instruct individual students following programs designed by lead teacher.
Assist with independent study.
Reinforce lessons with small groups of students.
Ability to work outdoors with students and staff in a variety of weather conditions.

Compensation / Benefits:
RAVE Clerical Association Wage Group V - According to contractual agreement(based on 2024-25 contract)
Step 1 - $20.65/hour
Step 2 - $21.91/hour
Step 3 - $23.16/hour
Employees in the paraprofessional classification according to contractual agreement shall receive a $1.00 per hour differential in addition to their hourly base rate.
