Responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator may include but are not limited to:

The Safety Coordinator works closely with teammates contractors and leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety culture performance and safety systems. The Safety Coordinator interprets regulatory and consensus standards (OSHA NFPA NRC etc.) develops and updates policies and procedures. The Safety Coordinator assists with incident investigations safety audits develop action plans and follow up conduct safety training and participate in emergency response teams. This position requires willingness to spend time on the floor to obtain an understanding of operations for their
area. This position requires working scheduled and unscheduled overtime some overnight travel
and the ability to promptly respond to safety needs.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
