Description

ABM is looking for a CA Certified Journeyman Electrician who will perform skilled inspection maintenance repair and installation of Electrical systems and related equipment.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00/Hr

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicants experience skills abilities geographic location and alignment with market data. Duties and Responsibilities

Repairs installs replaces and tests electrical circuits equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
Leads guides and/or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques.
Repairs and maintains motor control centers and programmable logic controls (480 volt and below).
Plans for electrical secondary system additions or modifications.
May perform work of lower-level electricians.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Reads employs and updates electrical panel schedules.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required

Knowledge of secondary electrical systems include planning additions or modifications on secondary circuits.
Ability to use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to repair install replace and test 600 volt and below electrical circuits equipment and appliances.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical controls industrial motor control centers and programmable logic controllers for secondary systems 480 volt and below.
Ability to lead and train staff and/or students.
Ability to read commercial electrical blueprints and apply NEC through the full range of commercial and industrial maintenance and construction work.
Ability to read understand follow and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to install and maintain motors lighting fixtures generators circuit breakers and transformers as appropriate to the position.
Ability to isolate defects in wiring switches motors and other electrical equipment.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements such as high temperatures dirt dust fumes smoke and/or loud noises.
Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting pushing or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 50%) of job.
Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.

Job REQUIREMENTS*

5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Valid California drivers license is a requirement for this job
Ability to travel within a 20-30 mile radius from office site in Tustin using a (Take home) company vehicle.
Active CA General Electrician License required.
