Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented customer-service-focused Scheduler to join our Family Medicine Team!
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling appointments for patients managing assigned providers schedules verifying demographic and insurance information for patients and verifying that proper records and documentation are in place for appointments. Maintain accurate records associated with the scheduling and the processing of patient documentation. Provides excellent customer service to callers on a multi-line phone system. Returns voicemails to callers in a timely manner. Projects a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients coworkers and the Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate. This position will require excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Works under stress and in situations that demand patience and tact while providing impeccable service. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- One year of prior clerical experience in a medical setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent skills in interpersonal communication to ensure the ability to build relationships with physicians or their support staff
- Knowledge of insurer and payer processes
- CPR/BLS or obtained within first ninety days of hire
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment required.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing required.
- Ability to multi-task prioritize and meet deadlines required.
- Knowledge of CPT ICD-10 codes and medical terminology preferred.
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.
- Three years of medical office experience preferred
