Job Summary

Location: Bellshill (On-site)
Type: Permanent Full-time (35 hours/week)
Salary: Up to 26K (depending on experience) Company Vehicle

Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives on variety and customer interaction At Kick ICT were looking for a Technical Field Engineer to deliver exceptional on-site support across a wide range of IT environments. What Youll Be Doing

  • Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve hardware software and networking issues

  • Carry out installations upgrades and repairs for PCs laptops printers and network equipment

  • Configure and maintain routers switches firewalls and Wi-Fi access points

  • Work closely with the Service Desk to ensure quick and effective incident resolution

  • Maintain accurate documentation of site visits and resolutions

  • Assist with workshop-based repairs and equipment preparation when needed

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend preventive measures

What Were Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience in technical support or field engineering

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop and server environments

  • Experience configuring and supporting network switches firewalls and Wi-Fi

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Desirable (not essential):

  • IT certifications (CompTIA A Network Microsoft MCP/MCSA)

  • Experience with Fortigate Firewalls and Unifi Wireless

  • Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware Hyper-V)

  • Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
