What Youll Be Doing
Attend customer sites to diagnose and resolve hardware software and networking issues
Carry out installations upgrades and repairs for PCs laptops printers and network equipment
Configure and maintain routers switches firewalls and Wi-Fi access points
Work closely with the Service Desk to ensure quick and effective incident resolution
Maintain accurate documentation of site visits and resolutions
Assist with workshop-based repairs and equipment preparation when needed
Identify recurring issues and recommend preventive measures
What Were Looking For
Essential:
Previous experience in technical support or field engineering
Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop and server environments
Experience configuring and supporting network switches firewalls and Wi-Fi
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable (not essential):
IT certifications (CompTIA A Network Microsoft MCP/MCSA)
Experience with Fortigate Firewalls and Unifi Wireless
Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware Hyper-V)
Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
