Tournament Convenor
Position Reports to: Program Manager Regional Training Centre
Term : Part-time
Salary: 20$/hour - 80 hours over two 8 week periods (November-December March-May)

Job Summary
The RTC Tournament Convenor ensures the smooth on-site delivery of Maverick RTC tournaments by managing event logistics supporting coaches and officials and maintaining clear communication with participants. This role focuses on efficient tournament-day operations adherence to safety procedures and providing exceptional administrative and customer service support during events.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Tournament Day Operations:
- Oversee all on-site tournament activities to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage check-in schedules and court assignments and coordinate with officials coaches and volunteers throughout the event.
2. Client and Coach Support
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for athletes coaches parents and officials.
- Provide clear communication assist with inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Implement and monitor the Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
- Ensure all safety first aid and facility protocols Rowan Law are followed.
- Report incidents and manage immediate responses to injuries or emergencies.
4. Equipment Oversight
- Ensure all necessary tournament equipment (e.g. nets score sheets balls) is available set up and maintained during the event.
- Communicate needs or issues to the Equipment Manager.
5. Facility Coordination
- Work with the Facility Manager to ensure access setup and cleanup are completed as required.
- Enforce facility rules and resolve logistical or maintenance issues during the event.

Competencies & Skills
- Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution - Managing issues calmly and effectively during tournaments.
- Strong Communication (Verbal & Written) - Essential for coordinating across multiple stakeholders and ensuring clarity.
- Organization & Time Management- Keep tournaments efficient and well-structured.
- Technologically skilled
