Greenfield Rehabilitation Agency is a therapist-owned and operated organization providing physical occupational and speech therapy services to senior communities skilled nursing facilities home health agencies and in-home services across Wisconsin. Position Overview

The Human Resources Leader will be responsible for all aspects of HR strategy and operations aligning human capital initiatives with Greenfields mission and growth. The key functions include talent management employee relations compliance organizational development and HR systems to support a diverse and mission-driven workforce. Today the talent team is small but agile including an HR Generalist a Talent Acquisition Specialist a scheduler and administrative support. This role requires occasional travel across the state of Wisconsin when needed with up to 25% of time spent in the field visiting service sites and supporting regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and organizational culture. Talent Acquisition & Retention: Drive recruitment and retention initiatives to support clinical and non-clinical staffing needs across multiple sites.
  • Employee Relations: Lead employee engagement conflict resolution investigations and performance improvement efforts.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure HR policies and practices comply with all applicable labor laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee total rewards programs to remain competitive and support employee well-being. Collaborate to design creative incentive-based pay structures to align with operational success.
  • Training & Development: Design and deploy professional development and leadership training programs.
  • HR Systems Management: Manage and improve HRIS tools and processes to support efficient HR operations and data integrity.

Top Objectives for Immediate Impact

Over the next 6-12 months the Human Resources Leader will:

  • Assess and Enhance HR Processes: Conduct a comprehensive review of current HR workflows and documentation for efficiency accuracy and compliance.
  • Strengthen Recruitment and Retention: Implement high-impact strategies to attract qualified talent and reduce turnover in a competitive healthcare labor market.
  • Ensure Regulatory Readiness: Review HR practices to ensure compliance with FMLA ADA EEO OSHA and other applicable healthcare regulations.

Future areas of focus may include:

  • Elevate Employee Engagement: Launch initiatives that improve morale foster inclusivity and promote career development.
  • Optimize HR Technology: Evaluate the HRIS platform and recommend enhancements to support scalability and better user experience.
  • Develop Leadership Capacity: Equip managers with tools and training for effective performance management coaching and team building.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in human resources Business Administration or a related field required. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience preferably in a healthcare rehabilitation or senior services environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of employment law HR best practices organizational development and HR systems.
  • Leadership Attributes: Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach. High emotional intelligence discretion and a collaborative leadership style.
