Job Summary
The banquet Houseperson is responsible for ensuring all linens trash glassware plateware
silverware and other items used for Banquets are cleared. They are responsible for maintaining
all banquet convention and food service areas and ensuring they are cleaned and organized.
After every event the Banquet Houseperson will ensure cleanup of all areas used for the event
including the banquet kitchen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Approach all guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner.
- Practice safety standards at all times including constant awareness of safety hazards.
- Report these to supervisor.
- Work cooperatively with Banquet Team to make sure all items are cleaned in a timely
- manner
- Work with Banquet Manager on specific event details
- Mopping sweeping vacuuming event and food service areas after each event
- Assist in moving furniture needed for event spaces
- Assist others as needed.
- Must be flexible to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
- Adhere to hotels dress code policy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience in a hotel preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to tolerate pressure and work calmly independently and efficiently.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Must be self-motivated and organized.
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to lift over 50lbs
