Reporting to the Senior Manager Radio Operations and Resources you will actively contribute to the planning and assignment of production teams. You will be responsible for coordinating recruitment as well as managing assignments and replacements.
You will also contribute to process optimization administrative follow-up of files and employee onboarding ensuring compliance and efficiency in practices. Your thoroughness organizational skills and interpersonal abilities allow you to play a key role in the smooth operation of the Audio and Radio division.
Main responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Audio and Radio management team in recruiting resources and conducting interviews.
Implement short and long-term human resource planning strategies by anticipating needs and aligning hires with strategic objectives.
Participate in the development and implementation of a new assignment system establishing processes and best practices.
Advise Audio and Radio management on staffing issues and propose appropriate solutions.
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives: optimize resource sharing and design development plans for staff.
Collaborate with various Radio-Canada divisions to facilitate employee mobility and optimize resource utilization.
Implement equity diversity and inclusion (EDI) strategies in recruitment and talent management.
Supervise internships (including relationships with universities and network development).
Welcome new employees and coordinate return-to-work processes after absences.
Monitor disability cases and coordinate steps with managers and employees.
Manage leaves (banks policy application depletion plans).
Review and validate working hours; prepare and analyze workforce reports.
Carry out various administrative tasks related to resource management.
Profile sought:
University degree in Human Resources Management Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in human resources management ideally in a unionized environment. A combination of education and experience demonstrating a solid understanding of human resources management will also be considered
Experience in interpreting and applying HR policies and practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and collaborative tools (Google Workspace)
Knowledge of HR systems (Workday or equivalent) is an asset
Thoroughness organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to adapt approaches to changing situations and to break down complex challenges
Capacity to move from idea to action by developing relevant frameworks and models
Curiosity and ability to quickly learn new software tools and technologies
Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative information to guide strategic decisions
Availability seven (7) days a week to respond to operational and urgent needs
Fluency in spoken and written French
