Two years successful post high school education. District experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement. | EXPERIENCE DESIRED: | At least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills knowledge of programming for students with disabilities. |
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: | Constant hearing hand-eye coordination/mind-eye coordination; intermittent keyboarding and telephoning. Frequent repetitive motions with wrists hands and fingers. |
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: | Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer proficiency in spreadsheets and databases and word processing. Demonstrated ability to work well with others. Demonstrated organizational skills. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Enters and maintains banks of student objectives and information for computerized IEP databases.
- Provides teachers with draft IEPs based on teacher checklist.
- Elicits parent input for IEPs or evaluations.
- Contacts parents to schedule IEP meetings and conferences.
- Completes and mails parent notices with teacher input and principal signature.
- Disseminates and collects classroom teacher forms needed for Individual EducationPlans (IEPs) to classroom teachers.
- Routes and disseminates quarterly and annual progress checks to be completed byteachers.
- Maintains building database of student IEP and evaluation dates.
- Checks and updates student list for December 1 count.
- Monitors IEP and evaluation due dates numbers of student suspensions dates to implement transition plans and transfers of rights and completion of all required paperwork.
- Routes and maintains all paperwork required for compliance with regulations.
- Participates in all compliance and computerized IEP training as requested by the District.
- Serves as a building resource in using and updating IEP software.
- Maintain the confidentiality of students and their families.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Level KX starting at $23.23 per hour
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTE
Monday through Friday7:30 am to 4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid break
1.0FTE40 hours per week9 months
