Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking
Prepare and cook Western dishes (e.g. grills pastas sauces steaks and roasts) as per recipes and standards.
Assist the Chef de Partie in menu planning and new dish creation.
Ensure portion control and minimize food wastage.
Maintain the presentation taste and quality of all dishes.
Kitchen Operations
Support in daily mise-en-place and ensure readiness for service.
Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Ensure that all stock is rotated properly and stored under correct conditions.
Hygiene & Safety
Follow all food safety hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP).
Keep workstations clean organized and safe at all times.
Adhere to all hotel safety and hygiene policies.
Teamwork & Communication
Work collaboratively with other kitchen team members.
Support junior staff in learning and development.
Communicate effectively with service staff to ensure smooth service.
Qualifications :
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
Minimum 12 years of experience in a similar position preferably in a hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
Strong knowledge of Western cuisine techniques and ingredients.
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude team player and willingness to learn.
Additional Information :
Able to stand for long periods and work in a hot kitchen environment.
Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends and holidays.
