We are searching for a talented Supportive Care Chaplain

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift per diem Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Visiting Nurse Association - Fairhaven MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director Supportive Care Services or designee provide spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families. Make spiritual assessments of patients taking into account mental emotional physical and spiritual stresses and respond with appropriate counseling and care. Other duties include but are not limited to: directing the spiritual plan of care acting as a liaison to community clergy participating in performance improvement initiatives and training pastoral care volunteers.

Qualifications

  • Equal to a Masters degree in a related discipline.
  • Graduate of accredited seminar or school of theology or appropriate certification in hospital or pastoral ministry.
  • Minimum of one-year experience in working with patients/families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.
  • Graduate of accredited seminar or school of theology or appropriate certification in hospital or pastoral ministry.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $23.38 - USD $39.32 /Hr.
