Job Summary and Responsibilities
Are you a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with a passion for surgical care Join our dynamic Surgical Services team and be a pivotal part of delivering exceptional patient care. Under the Nurse Managers direction youll be the cornerstone of our patients surgical journey.

What Youll Do:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments (biophysical psychosocial environmental self-care).
- Formulate nursing diagnoses and implement timely effective age-appropriate care plans.
- Document patient progress and coordinate care across disciplines.
- Educate patients and families administering medications safely according to policy.
- Ensure equipment availability proper placement and working condition.
- Share knowledge mentor new staff and willingly float to other areas as needed.
- Maintain licensure with required educational programs.
Shift: 6:45am - 5:15am
Core Schedule: Tuesday - Friday; Requires On Call
Student loan repayment program as well as relocation assistance offered!
Job Requirements
Required Licensure & Certifications:
- Registered Nurse: Oregon
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Within 30 Days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Within 6 Months
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience OR
- Current employment as a Nurse with Mercy Medical Center
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory principles and practices specific to surgical care.
- Ability to expertly apply nursing theory and the nursing process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to orient to Pediatrics and obtain PALS certification within 12 months.
