Virtual Paralegal

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: 20 a to 40 per week

Salary: $25 to $29 hourly

Equivity is seeking a skilled virtual paralegal with recent law firm experience and proficiency in at least two practice areas such as litigation estate planning immigration bankruptcy corporate law or family law. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely on substantive legal matters while supporting attorneys across the country as part of a growing collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive paralegal support tailored to the unique needs of attorneys across various legal disciplines.

• Operate independently while managing tasks such as drafting legal documents organizing case files and monitoring deadlines.

• Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients during standard business hours (9 AM 6 PM)

• Coordinate with legal teams court personnel and third parties to ensure smooth case progression.

• Adapt quickly to new legal workflows and client preferences supporting matters from intake through resolution.

• Work remotely with the flexibility to manage a consistent workload of 2040 hours per week.

About You:

• 3 years of recent paralegal experience in a law firm setting with demonstrated proficiency in at least two distinct areas of law such as civil litigation estate planning probate bankruptcy family law or corporate law.

• Comfortable navigating a variety of legal workflows and adapting to the needs of different practice areas.

• Tech-savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Adobe Acrobat.

• Familiarity with case management software such as Clio MyCase or similar.

• Organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication and time management skills.

• You work well independently and enjoy the autonomy of a virtual role.

• You own a Windows-based computer smartphone and have reliable high-speed internet access.

• You have a quiet and professional home office setup for client communication.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree.

• Minimum 3 years of recent paralegal experience

• Availability to respond to client requests within one hour Monday through Friday 9 AM 6 PM

• Ability to work 2040 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
