About You
As aLeadRegistered Veterinary Technicianyoullplayan important rolein pets lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey.Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care offacilitatingoutpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests to surgeryassistance to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Veterinary technician licensure
- 1-2 years of clinical experiencepreferred new graduates also considered
- Must have surgical anesthesia and dental experience.
- AnAssociates or Bachelorsdegree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care advocate for pets and educate clients.
- Provide training to team members under the direction of hospital management
- Assist hospital management team in creating and refining employee training protocols and policies
- Assist hospital leadership in tasks such as scheduling coaching client escalations and other tasks as assigned by management
- With each hospital functionassistveterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity andmaintainpositive patient flow.
- Assistwith surgeries and proceduresin accordance withyour states Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options medications andadditionaltreatments.
- Assistinmaintainingrelevant comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients andmaintainmedical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques follow standard protocols and sustain clean sterile organized treatment areas exam rooms and labs.
- Be willing to guide mentor and support fellow team members.

Our Facility is open 7 days a week and Clinic is currently open 4 days a week.
ServingSan Diego Coronado and La Mesa.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience withahourly pay rate starting at$26 -$35/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills qualifications experience and location.
