As an Operations Specialist I you will:

  • Perform quality assurance reviews on new account openings and maintenance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with fraud account transfers and deceased member processes ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.
  • Review reports as assigned to identify discrepancies risks and areas of improvement.
  • Ensure operational procedures align with credit union guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for employees providing guidance on procedures and best practices.
  • Work within proper channels to resolve operational issues and improve workflows.
  • Work Service Events to track operational needs member requests and resolutions.
  • Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices to support operational compliance.
  • Assist with the escheatment process including contacting members and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Requirements
  • Professional well-developed interpersonal skills are essential for projecting a positive image as representative for the credit union.
  • Strong knowledge of credit union operations
  • Experience with auditing or branch support a plus.
  • Must react well under pressure approach others in a tactful way accept responsibility and follow through on commitments.
  • Proven attention to detail with the ability to identify trends.
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Must be highly organized versatile flexible and tactful.
  • Ability to follow direction and complete assigned tasks within established deadlines.
  • Requires sound judgment and critical-thinking skills makes appropriate recommendations and can support and explain reasoning.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Strong computer knowledge especially with the use of applications including Word and Excel is preferred.
  • Minium of 1-year of financial institution experience required preferably at Copper State Credit Union.
  • Process improvement quality assurance or operations experience preferred.
Salary Description
$22 - $23/hour
