Ready to put your electrical trade to the test on some of Australias most advanced manufacturing equipment Join the team at Visy Pulp & Paper Smithfield where you wont just be fixing faults. Youll be driving reliability improving systems and working alongside some of the best trades in the business.
What Youll Do:
Youll work across a range of electrical maintenance and fault-finding tasks in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Youll support critical plant equipment including motors drives conveyors process lines and automation systems the heartbeat of Visys Smithfield operation.
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical and control systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults on motors variable speed drives and PLC-controlled machinery.
- Support process reliability and improvement initiatives across the plant.
- Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams to ensure safe efficient performance.
- Assist with installation testing and upgrades of new and existing equipment.
- Accurately log maintenance work and notifications in SAP
What Youll Bring:
- Electrical trade qualification and current NSW licence.
- Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance ideally pulp and paper packaging or another continuous process industry.
- Confident working with PLC systems (Siemens ABB Rockwell and GE).
- Strong fault-finding troubleshooting and repair capability on AC/DC drives and control systems.
- Experience with instrumentation or automation highly regarded.
- A safety-first mindset good communication skills and pride in quality workmanship.
