Job Summary
Amazon is looking for a driven and experienced Communications Manager to join its Stores Communications team supporting Amazon Prime. This role will lead proactive storytelling executive communications and strategic communications programs in support of Prime in the U.S. and around the world.
Key job responsibilities
Build and lead proactive high-profile strategic communications plans and campaigns to support Prime
Lead executive communications for Primes senior leader including hosting media briefings internal/external speech development and social strategy and content
Deliver earned owned and social media coverage featuring Prime
Provide strategic communications guidance and support for business initiatives
Counsel senior business leaders on communications strategy
Work across internal stakeholders to deliver on objectives
Write and evolve messaging and talking points
Develop and write press release media pitches and owned channels content
Build and maintain relationships with reporters from influential media outlets and podcasts
Prepare forward-looking plans for emerging issues
Successfully manage complex fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges both proactively and reactively
Serve as a global liaison for Prime with communications leads in other countries and other Prime benefit businesses
Manage external communications agencies
- 7 years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience communicating to senior management and customers verbally and in writing
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Experience effectively managing a substantial and time-sensitive workload
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Experience working directly with national media for proactive placement and reactively for issues
- Experience supporting communications for a senior executive
- Creative and entrepreneurial thinking
- Positive can-do attitude
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to bring together a large group of stakeholders and lead them toward a common goal

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
