Were looking for a Systems Support Specialist to join our team based out of Niagara Falls ON. Reporting directly to the Software Application Manager youll be a key player in supporting the digital backbone of our operationsprimarily our scale-house systems a vital component in the aggregate and environmental services industry.
This role goes beyond typical tech support. Youll be involved in everything from real-time issue resolution and system monitoring to enhancement projects and vendor collaboration. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a real impact. Courtesy tact and professionalism are essential as youll be working closely with a variety of teams across the organization.
Salary range $55000 to $65000 based on experience.
What Youll Be Doing
Provide front-line technical support (phone email remote and onsite) to minimize downtime and boost productivity
Deliver hands-on training and retraining to staff both one-on-one and in groups
Conduct routine monitoring and administration of critical systems
Analyze user requirements and help develop custom solutions and reports
Collaborate with internal IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Liaise with external vendors to ensure smooth system functionality
Assist with the implementation and modification of systems across various sites
Stay current with emerging technologies that affect our operations
Heres What You Need
Diploma or degree in Computer Science Programming or equivalent experience
23 years of experience in technical support or IT systems
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is a strong asset
Valid Ontario G Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle (travel required)
Strong problem-solving multi-tasking and customer service skills
Excellent English communicationwritten and verbal
Proactive adaptable and eager to learn new systems
