Description
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations Danbury Hospital New Milford Hospital Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and Northern Dutchess Hospital Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations including The Heart Center a leading provider of cardiology care and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services and the Home Care organizations.
Responsible for services related to dietary transportation materials management and guest relations. Performs a wide variety of patient care and environmental functions on the patient care unit Participates in team activities and quality improvement programs. He/she ensures that quality services are provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the units standards of care. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and practice; and treats staff physicians patients and families with consideration and respect.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Graduate
Licensure/Registration/Certification: BLS credentialing
Work Experience: Recent experience as a nurse aide phlebotomist or EKG technician preferred
Working Conditions:
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Significant occupational risk
Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt odors noise human waste etc.
