The opportunity:
Be at the heart of the action at one of Visys top paper mills! As a Production Operatoryoull run powerful machinery keep production humming and help turn recycled materials into something remarkable.
- 12-hour rotating roster: 2 days 2 nights 4 days off
- Extra perk: Enjoy 2 paid weeks off every 78 weeks!
What youll do
Youll be right in the thick of it keeping the machines rolling the paper flowing and production running safely and smoothly every shift.
- Operate and monitor the paper machine and ancillary equipment to meet safety quality and production targets
- Carry out regular maintenance and ensure machinery runs at peak performance
- Maintain high standards of safety housekeeping and environmental compliance
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
What you will bring to the team:
Youre an experienced operator who knows your way around big machinery and takes pride in doing the job right. Youve got a strong work ethic a team-first attitude and you never cut corners when it comes to safety or quality.
- Solid experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude trade or technical qualifications a big plus
- HNC Paper Technology highly regarded
- Able to work a 12-hour rotating roster (4 on 4 off)
- Forklift experience desirable
- Sharp eye for detail and a knack for solving problems on the go
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hands-on environment
