Position Title: Supplier Quality Engineer (Mechanical parts)
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze supplier quality performance data from business and go to the Gemba to suppliers to identify trends/gaps/opportunities/risks.
Develop and maintain a quality risk register with risk triggers mitigation and contingency plans for supplier base.
Develop organize and lead supplier quality improvement projects in collaboration with multiple business and supplier sites.
Connect with supplier key leaders to promote/influence a culture of quality improvement
Work hand in hand with suppliers to train develop and guide them toward strong quality engineering competencies.
Actively manager suppliers to ensure that they meet aggregate Philips Quality Performance targets.
Project manage Strategic Supplier Development improvement execution monitoring and control (PDCA) as part of the performance monitoring process.
Support effective root cause analysis of defects at suppliers to prevent recurrence on complex concerns.
Lead discussion with suppliers on escalation cases which are related to issue closure.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in engineering Masters preferred.
Fluent English/Mandarin in both oral and written.
5 years above in quality and engineering prefer to have experience in medical device or Automotive industry.
Demonstrated experience with low volume & high mixed manufacturing process -Sheet metal Machining Injection molding Cables & High-Level-Assembly can provide solutions to supplier
Experienced in DFMAT (Design for manufacturability and testability) and process enhancement at suppliers. Understand and able to apply DFMEA to review CTS/CTQ (Critical to Safey and Quality) for Process Validation and Validation plan at suppliers.
Good Knowledge of APQP process to drive first time right in supplier site.
Strong project management skills data analytical skills Problem solving skills and presentation skills.
Effectively communicate with numerous stakeholders including senior management other business groups internal and/or external stakeholders.
Must be willing and able to travel to supplier locations.
Certified Lean Six Sigma black belt is preferred.
VDA 6.3 Certified auditor -would be an advantage.
