Job Summary

About the project
In this thesis you will study the electrification of an existing fleet of material handling machines. The work includes:

Analyzing power demand and usage per vehicle and for the entire fleet (usage data provided by Volvo Penta)
Determining charging times and suggesting charger power (e.g. 40 60 80 kW) based on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) potential
Creating a simple energy model of the site
Exploring energy and cost optimization including solar integration peak shaving and potential use of battery energy storage systems (BESS)
Delivering a simple site-dimensioning tool

Who are you

Masters student in Electrical Engineering Energy Systems or Engineering Physics
Have taken courses in energy system modeling
Interested in V2G technologies microgrids and behind-the-meter optimization

Location: Gothenburg

Scope: 30 ECTS (Masters Thesis Project)
