About the role
The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining electronic medical equipment offered by Boston Scientific. Services are predominantly provided for customers in hospitals outpatient facilities and physicians offices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fully support the Quality Policy by building quality into all aspects of the incumbents work and by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements (including but not limited to being current on all training requirements for the incumbents position and documenting that training).
  • System installation.
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Equipment upgrades.
  • Electronic troubleshooting & component replacement.
  • In-servicing/training biomedical and medical personnel.
  • Presenting Service Program options and value proposition.
  • Reporting of field activities.
  • Mentoring colleagues and special projects as assigned.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 75%


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelors or college degree in electrical/biomedical engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience handing calibration and servicing of electromechanical devices.
  • Able to work independently and responsibly with some supervision & manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Excellent computer networking equipment troubleshooting administrative and communication skills.
  • Familiar with all standard electronic test equipment including Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.
  • Flexible to accept the customer queries and ready to travel as and when required.
  • A valid drivers license.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience with medical devices.
  • Experience in MS Excel Word and on tools like Service Max.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see --will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for hourly non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for salaried non-sales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
