Job Summary

Title: Application Modernization Architect

Project: To support our CATO (Cloud Adoption & Transformation Operations) program.

Location: Houston TX-Hybrid-3 days onsite

Skills	No. of Years of Experience	Detailed Write up of your experience
Minimum 12 years in IT experience
Minimum 6 years in Application Architecture/Modernization
Must Have: Hands-on portfolio assessment & rationalization (6R: rehost replatform refactor rearchitect replace retire).
Must Have: Deep experience modernizing legacy stacks (Java/.NET Oracle/SQL Server packaged apps; mainframe a plus).
Must Have: Azure-first designs using AKS/App Service/Azure Functions API Management Service Bus/Event Grid Logic Apps Key Vault.
Must Have: CI/CD & IaC (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; Terraform/Bicep) containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/Helm).
Must Have: Data modernization (Azure SQL MI DMS Cosmos DB; exposure to Synapse/Data Factory preferred).
Nice to Have: Tools: Azure Migrate App Service Migration Assistant DMS CAST Highlight AppDynamics.
Nice to Have: Security-by-design API-first and event-driven patterns domain-driven design.
Nice to Have: Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) Azure DevOps Engineer Expert TOGAF.
