Job Summary

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to lead cloud design governance and modernization efforts across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
This senior-level role combines architecture leadership governance design and hands-on Azure expertise. You ll collaborate with business and technology teams to develop frameworks standards and architectures that power scalable secure and cost-effective cloud ecosystems.

What You ll Do

Design and document Azure cloud architectures standards and governance frameworks.
Define and implement hybrid and multi-cloud strategies integrating Azure GCP and on-prem systems.
Lead Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation efforts using Terraform ARM or Pulumi.
Implement cloud security and compliance practices (IAM RBAC Defender for Cloud Key Vault encryption).
Drive FinOps strategies to ensure cost optimization and performance efficiency.
Support and mentor cloud engineers in solution delivery and automation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align cloud solutions with business goals and cybersecurity standards.

Key Skills & Experience

10 years of IT experience with 6 10 years in Azure Cloud Architecture.
Expertise in Azure compute storage networking containers (AKS Docker) and serverless services.
Working knowledge of GCP (1 2 years ideal); exposure to AWS/OCI is a plus.
Experience with on-prem to cloud integrations and hybrid network design.
Strong background in DevOps automation (GitHub Actions GitLab Jenkins) and IaC tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for architectural documentation.
Knowledge of Zero Trust frameworks and security standards (CIS NIST ISO 27001).
Familiarity with FinOps Azure Monitor and cost optimization tools.

Technical Expertise

Infrastructure: Azure Compute (VMs Scale Sets Batch) Storage Networking ExpressRoute VPNs.
Data & Analytics: Azure Data Factory Synapse Databricks Event Hubs Cosmos DB.
Automation: Terraform Ansible ARM Pulumi Jenkins GitHub Actions.
Security: IAM RBAC Defender for Cloud Azure Key Vault WAF NSG Managed Identities.
Monitoring: Azure Monitor Network Watcher SolarWinds Splunk Chronicle Security.
Architecture Tools: Microsoft Visio Azure Architecture Center.

Preferred Background

Proven experience designing multi-cloud architectures (Azure GCP/AWS).
Strong understanding of hybrid cloud governance frameworks and policies.
Hands-on experience implementing disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies.
Strong communication skills able to translate complex concepts for business stakeholders.
