The Architectural Engineer will be responsible for developing integrating and supervising architectural designs layouts and material selections that align with facility and industry standards. The role requires close coordination with civil structural and MEP teams to ensure high-quality compliant and sustainable architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure layouts integrate seamlessly with MEP structural and equipment installation requirements.

Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) Civil Defence ADA accessibility and international standards (NFPA IBC).

Prepare drawings sketches and documentation for authority approvals and permits.
-
Prepare complete design packages for consultant and client approval.
-
Raise RFCs for design conflicts and ensure resolutions follow industry standards.

Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to select suitable finishing materials.
-
Submit material submittal to clients and consultants for approval.
-
Incorporate sustainability practices such as SASO/LEED-compliant materials and energy-efficient designs.
-
Coordinate with Civil Structural and MEP Engineers to resolve design issues.
-
Review and approve shop drawings and vendor submissions for architectural compatibility.
-
Provide technical support during equipment installation to ensure design accuracy.

Conduct site inspections to ensure architectural works meet drawings specifications and quality standards.

Approve mock-ups and prototypes before execution.

Integrate ergonomic and safety-focused design elements in all spaces.

Update as-built drawings reflecting site modifications.

Submit architectural documentation systematically to the Document Controller.

Generate progress reports for the Project Manager.

Coordinate snagging lists and ensure all defects are rectified before handover.

Participate in final client and authority inspections.

Provide operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals for architectural components.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
Minimum 58 years of experience in industrial or commercial building projects.
Strong understanding of Saudi Building Code (SBC) NFPA and IBC.
Skilled in AutoCAD Revit and other architectural design software.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and material selection.
Excellent communication coordination and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with international standards.
