Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and innovative Engineer- Geotechnical to join our team in Duba Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our engineering department you will contribute to geotechnical investigations designs and analyses for various infrastructure and construction projects in the region. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background and a proven ability to deliver effective geotechnical solutions in challenging environments.
- Conduct and interpret geotechnical site investigations including soil and rock sampling in-situ testing and laboratory testing in arid and desert environments.
- Perform geotechnical analyses including slope stability settlement bearing capacity and soil-structure interaction for complex projects.
- Develop geotechnical designs for foundations retaining walls embankments and other infrastructure components suitable for Saudi Arabian geological conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams clients and contractors to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports drawings and specifications in compliance with local and international codes and standards.
- Provide on-site technical support during construction including monitoring and troubleshooting geotechnical issues.
- Identify geotechnical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project safety and sustainability in the local context.
- Stay updated on the latest geotechnical engineering techniques and technologies particularly those applicable to arid regions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering; Masters degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with a focus on projects in arid or desert environments
- Advanced knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices particularly in challenging soil conditions
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS GeoStudio and Rocscience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian geological conditions building codes and local regulations
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods and materials related to geotechnical engineering in arid regions
- Experience with deep foundations slope stability and ground improvement techniques
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills
- Willingness to adapt to the local work culture and environment in Duba Saudi Arabia
