We are hiring Medical Senior House Officer (SHO) Medical/Surgical to our Leading Hospitals in DublinIreland
Responsibilities
Follow the hospital admissions process by documenting patient history and physical examinations on Meditech.
Assess review and document findings for patients as requested by Consultants or Nursing staff.
Order and review investigations such as radiology blood tests and function tests as directed by the Consultant.
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with the Consultants management plan.
Participate actively in daily ward rounds and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Complete patient discharges with accurate and timely electronic discharge letters.
Respond promptly to adverse events including patient falls injuries or sudden illnesses.
Adhere to hospital policies infection control and Health & Safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Contribute to quality improvement risk management and evidence-based clinical practices.
Support education and training by mentoring interns assisting medical students and participating in NCHD teaching sessions.
Requirements
- Hold a Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Maintain current registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
- Possess a valid employment permit allowing work in a private hospital setting in Ireland.
- Have experience in an acute hospital environment demonstrating strong clinical exposure.
- Hold a current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS certification is desirable.
- Demonstrate commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous clinical improvement.
- Exhibit strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities across all levels of care.
- Display a professional ethical approach to patient care and decision-making.
- Be adaptable and flexible to meet the dynamic needs of a hospital environment.
