REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Core emergency medicine procedures (facility to confirm scope)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Louisiana medical license (or ability to obtain)

Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (EM residency trained only)

DEA: Active DEA (per facility policy)

Certifications: ATLS and ACLS not required for EM-boarded physicians

Experience: EM residency trained (BC or BE accepted)

Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency department evaluation and management across presenting conditions.

Stabilize treat and coordinate disposition in collaboration with hospital teams.

Document care accurately and timely within Epic.

Participate in handoffs and adhere to ED clinical protocols and quality measures.

Communicate effectively with nursing consultants and ancillary staff.
