Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner with a strong background in machining and production workflows. The Manufacturing Planner will play a critical role in coordinating production schedules materials and labor to ensure projects move efficiently through each stage of the manufacturing process. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced detail-driven environment and understands how to route complex parts from blueprint to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage daily and long-term production schedules
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and parts lists
- Route parts into the manufacturing process efficiently
- Coordinate machining and assembly workflows
- Analyze forecasts and plan material/labor needs accordingly
- Monitor and optimize workflow productivity and efficiency
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of production plans
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and waste
- Track progress identify issues and adjust schedules as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- 35 years of planning experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
- Strong understanding of shop floor processes and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Knowledge of engineering and quality standards
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with project management tools
- Excellent communication organization and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Industrial Engineering or related field
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to move throughout the facility including stairs
- Lift up to 25 lbs as needed
- Must be able to visually inspect documents and specs for accuracy
Important Note
This is not a cycle counting or basic scheduling role. We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Planner who can take a blueprint identify each component and effectively route it through the machining and assembly process from start to finish.
