Qualifications :
Qualified candidates must meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience of four (4) or more persons
- A bachelors degree or higher education from an accredited college or university and at least six (6) years of experience in the field of civil engineering surveying and/or construction management including a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the construction inspection or contract administration areas
OR
- An associates degree or higher education from an accredited college or university or completion of an associates degree in Construction Management or related field within 36 months of appointment to the position and at least eight (8) years of experience in the field of civil engineering surveying and/or construction management including a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the construction inspection or contract administration areas
In addition to meeting the education and experience requirements above this position also requires the following:
- A valid drivers license at the time of application and a valid Colorado drivers license within 30 days of employment
- License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business such as an interlock will be cause for disqualification
- During the course of employment a valid license must be maintained and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Any of the following additional qualifications may lead to a higher level of success for the selected candidate in the performance of job duties:
- Four (4) years of supervisory experience of four (4) or more persons
- Construction management experience on local state and/or federal government projects
- Experience managing projects in the public right-of-way
- Familiarity with 29 CFR 1926 (Safety and Health Regulations for Construction) and 29 CFR 1910 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards)
- Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control frameworks
