Maintenance Engineering Manager

As a Facilities Engineering and Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for managing and assisting in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility equipment and machinery including HVAC building lighting systems production lines grounds keeping and overall facility appearance. You will manage and coordinate the work of employees who repair and maintain buildings/facilities equipment and machinery. You will also oversee engineering designs and installation phases of new equipment line upgrades and other capital projects managing the preventative/predictive maintenance and Maintenance Work Order Systems as well as creating and managing budgets related to facility repair and labor always working with Cornerstones Core Values in mind: Safety Integrity Innovation and Teamwork.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical support to ensure the factory is operating Safely at the highest quality level and lowest possible cost.
• Support the plant achieving budgeted labor efficiency MPO/UPMH.
• Responsible for communicating daily with all levels of employees to assist in resolving problems and achieving company goals.
• Prepare work schedules assign work and oversee the work product.
• Oversee construction and repair projects.
• Manage the work order system designed to establish priority and control over maintenance requests from plant personnel.
• Ensure that work order requests are completed in a timely fashion.
• Arranges for the procurement of outside contractors to carry out specific maintenance and repair assignments.
• Adjusts maintenance programs to ensure conformance with insurance policy requirements.
• Coach counsel and manage performance of direct reports.
• Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule for applicable equipment and machinery.
• Arrange for and manage appropriate third-party contractor support as needed.
• Develop and manage the plant Capital and Capacity plans ensuring on time and within budget.
• Prepare budgets and secure estimates and cost quotes as needed.
• Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices.
• Manage spare parts inventory.
• Participate in inter-plant cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Responsible for engineering design and modification/installation of existing and/or new (capital) equipment.
• Compiles and maintains drawing and records on plant facility.
• Ability to manage multiple complex situations daily and deal with rapidly changing priorities.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
• Leads by example and imposes all safety and operational procedures; promote and ensure a safe working environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards by coaching and guiding associates on safety procedures and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• BS Degree in Engineering preferred.
• 8 years of experience in an Engineering and Maintenance leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 years people leadership experience.
• Strong Project Management experience (capital and non-capital).
• Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience.
• Knowledgeable in Word Excel PowerPoint and CMMS.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and people management skills.
• Lean skills including Kaizen Standardized Work VSM and Six Sigma Green Belt required Black belt certification is a plus.
• Certification by ASQ as a CQE CQA or CQM is considered highly desirable.
