The material handler is responsible for the movement of material throughout the site. This may include loading/unloading of trailers and movement of raw materials work in process (WIP) and finished goods. This role will be 3rd Shift 10:00pm - 6:00am M - F.
Starting hiring rate: $21.58/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
Activities and duties may vary depending upon site-specific needs. Essential functions may include but are not limited to:
Move material to/from raw WIP Finished Shipping Receiving and manufacturing areas.
Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials. - Verify materials against receiving/shipping documents.
Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.
Complete warehouse and departmental cycles counts and correct discrepancies.
Help manage rack inventories.
Pick up and transfer material racks pallets and other consumable supplies to/from production areas as required.
Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping.
Perform all assignments duties and tasks safely following standard procedures and practices. Encourage others to do so. Correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately.
Perform duties to improve quality and productivity continuously.
Maintain a safe clean work area.
Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate department/shift employees to ensure effective operations.
Lead in the recycling of pallets cardboard and scrap materials.
Support all 5S housekeeping activities.
Packing and palletizing as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3 years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices policies and procedures.
Must have strong service and quality focus; address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand the root cause then communicate / educate the team in a timely manner.

Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn and share knowledge; must take initiative to cross-train and sustain acquired skills.
Must have demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.
Must be able and willing to work overtime including short-notice requests.
Must demonstrate proficiency with computer applications especially strong Oracle transactional skills.
