Position: 3rd Electrician
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a 3rd Electrician to join our crew on a full-time 6-month contract. The 3rd Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment on board our vessels ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment including generators motors and control systems

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and implement solutions in a timely manner

Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
-
Monitor and maintain the vessels electrical systems ensuring they are functioning properly and safely

Assist with the installation of new electrical equipment and systems
-
Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working with electrical equipment

Collaborate with other crew members and departments to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel
Qualifications:

Must be ship ready
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician on board a vessel

Valid STCW certification and seafarers medical certificate
-
Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment used on ships

Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in the maritime industry

Ability to work well in a team and independently

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Flexibility to work long hours and be on call as needed
