Job Summary:
The Hydrotest Technician is responsible for performing hydrostatic and pneumatic testing on pipelines vessels tanks and pressure equipment to ensure system integrity detect leaks and verify compliance with project and safety standards. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and accurate documentation of test results.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up equipment for hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipelines vessels and pressure systems.

Conduct pre-test inspections to ensure systems are ready for testing and all safety precautions are in place.

Perform hydrotest procedures according to project specifications codes and standards.

Monitor pressure temperature and flow during testing to detect leaks weaknesses or abnormalities.

Isolate and relieve pressure safely after test completion.

Record and report test results including any discrepancies or failures to supervisors or engineers.

Assist in the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.

Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations during all testing activities.

Collaborate with project engineers supervisors and HSE personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma in Mechanical Instrumentation or related field preferred.

Previous experience in hydrotesting pressure testing or mechanical fieldwork is preferred.

Knowledge of hydrotest procedures standards and safety practices.

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs drawings and technical specifications.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Physically fit to handle equipment hoses and heavy work in industrial environments.
Skills & Competencies:

Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic testing equipment.

Understanding of pressure measurement instruments and data logging.

Teamwork communication and adherence to safety protocols.

Ability to work in potentially hazardous conditions following strict safety guidelines.
