Overview
Join a growing professional services team and take end-to-end ownership of personal and corporate tax compliance for a diverse client portfolio. Youll work closely with clients and the Maltese tax authorities to deliver accurate filings timely advice and a consistently high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Filings Prepare income tax returns and computations for corporate entities and individuals.
- Complete income tax refund claim forms shareholder registrations and dividend warrants.
- Prepare and submit DAC6/MDR reports and maintain related documentation.
- Guide clients on Provisional Tax and Social Security Contributions including calculations schedules and payments.
- Respond to client queries explaining technical matters in clear practical terms.
- Coordinate with the Commissioner for Revenue (CfR) and other authorities on tax compliance matters.
- Maintain accurate records working papers and audit trails to support filings.
- Monitor statutory deadlines and maintain a robust compliance calendar.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy efficiency and client experience.
Qualifications & Skills
- In the final stages of ACCA (or an equivalent accountancy qualification).
- Solid working knowledge of the Maltese Income Tax system and related legislation.
- Results-driven and possess strong planning and organisational skills which enable me to effectively manage competing deadlines.
- Proactive and comfortable working on your own initiative as well as within a team.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Analytical mindset with sound problem-solving skills and a commitment to high-quality delivery.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- (Nice to have) Familiarity with DAC6/MDR practical application and experience liaising with CfR.
