Job Summary

We are seeking a committed Year 2 Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving school in Reading from January 2026. This is a permanent position open to full-time and part-time applicants with potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

Position: Year 2 Teacher
Location: Reading Berkshire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time considered
TLR: Available for subject or phase leadership (for the right candidate)
As our Year 2 Teacher you will:
- Lead a motivated Year 2 class through their SATs year with confidence and care
- Plan creative and engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and enthusiasm
- Use assessment effectively to support progress and attainment
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- (If applicable) Take on subject or phase leadership responsibilities
What Were Looking For
- QTS and experience teaching in Key Stage 1
- Understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and end-of-key-stage assessments
- A reflective organised and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to inclusion and creativity
