Location: Asheville NC 28801
Shift: 12-hr Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Nurse Manager to lead operations in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This role is responsible and accountable for the daily clinical operational and administrative management of the unit. The Nurse Manager will advocate for quality patient care and optimal resource utilization integrating clinical human resource and financial data to drive decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the CVICU ensuring optimal patient care and staff performance.
- Provide clinical leadership mentoring and support to nursing staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and manage staffing levels scheduling and productivity metrics.
- Promote and support evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in budget planning and financial decision-making for the unit.
- Lead and support initiatives that foster staff engagement professional growth and retention.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or
- Bachelors degree in another field with MSN.
Preferred Education:
- Masters degree in Nursing (MSN).
Licenses & Certifications:
- Current RN licensure with the North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- National Certification in clinical specialty or nursing leadership (required within 1 year of role acceptance or within 1 year of degree completion if pursuing).
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 5 years of recent nursing experience.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital critical care setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior nursing leadership or management experience.
